The team lost the toss and bowled first, assuming the pitch would get better for the batters as the game went on.

New Farnley had a limited bowling attack so was always going to be tough, but shipleys batting line up is very strong this yr and it showed.

Despite us getting an early breaktrough, their top order batted brilliantly well, building an innings, not really giving our bowlers a sniff, anything in the air went safely to gaps and all we could do was keep plugging away.

A bit of a rally late on saw us pick up a few wickets, but the damage had been done, Shipley finishing just shy of 250 runs.

Batting, again we had a limited line up. Mickey and Seedy looked promising early doors, but both fell to poor shots, trying to score a bit quickly.

In came Ben Danby an Chris Blackburn, both batted really well, showing alot of promise and the likelyhood that they will score plenty this season, unfortunately both made a start and got out, falling for 16 and 18 respectively.

After that, we did'nt have much left, a late rally from Jason and Shilli was all we could muster.

All out for 66.
