A team of secret agent-style council officers have targetted fly tippers in Wortley.
Armed with night vision cameras and wireless CCTV, the team have already caught an illegal rubbish dumper in the act in the area.

An officer filmed someone fly-tipping on Royds Lane.

Councillor Steve Smith said: "A recent reshaping of the council now allows officers to specialise and concentrate more effort and time on the serious problem of fly-tipping in Leeds.

"The dedicated team will work all hours and have the use of wirelessly operated CCTV, night vision cameras and manual surveillance to tackle the problem."

He added: "We are increasing our efforts to bring to justice the unscrupulous people who blight our city with their rubbish by avoiding either paying waste disposal costs or by simply taking it to an approved waste disposal facility."
