Wortley FC have organised a two day fundraising festival of football - but are on the lookout for sponsors to help make the tournament a success.
The event is being staged at Farnley Park High School on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31.

More than 50 teams are expected to take part with organisers expecting around 500 people to attend.

Roy Kearsley, development officer for Wortley FC, said: "This event is our major fundraising event of the year and all proceeds go back into the development of grassroots community football in the local area.

Mr Kearsley called on the support of local businesses to advertise in the event programme.

"Contributions will help to provide football kits, training and match day equipment for all the age groups."

* For more information about sponsorship opportunities contact Mr Kearsley on 0796 702 8220 or email: roy.kearsley@ntlworld.com
