A Farnley teenager has spread her wings by gaining her Private Pilot's licence.
Annabelle Stephenson, 17, has made history by becoming the Fulneck School's first ever pupil to receive the award.

She attended the Multiflight West Centre at Leeds-Bradford Airport and was awarded the licence after several examinations and 42 hours of flying solo.

She said: "Gaining my private pilot's licence is a high achievement.

"I was ecstatic at the news I had passed and all my hard work has really paid off.

"It's something I have always wanted to do as my dream is one day to become a fast jet pilot in the RAF."
