A 17-year-old boy has died after being hit by a train in Wortley.
British Transport Police say the death of the teenager, who was from Leeds, is not suspicious and officers were today informing relatives.

He was hit by a 4.06pm Newcastle to Manchester Airport train at Copley Hill underbridge in the Copley area of Wortley.

The teenager was on the tracks before being struck at 6.15pm on Wednesday.

The train lines were re-opened at 7.35pm and a spokeswoman for BTP said a report was being prepared for the coroner.
